Today my dad would have turned 90. I miss my father every single day.
But the truth is that he is never as close as when I’m on the mountain. I’m guessing it’s because of the physical and mental fatigue – which makes me more emotional. Well, that’s not the reason for my climbing/trekking – it’s just a good but tough bonus.
One of the more lovable caracters I climbed Acongagua with, Antoine, with whom I summited, told me; I see that this means more to you than the summit only – and he told med he had a similar sence of closeness to his mum at the summit.
Your in my thought daddy – Always!
